Close monitoring for clinical worsening and emergence of suicidal ideation is required, particularly during initial treatment months. | Serotonin syndrome risk (especially with concurrent serotonergic agents); QT interval prolongation and cardiac arrhythmias; orthostatic hypotension and syncope; increased bleeding risk with antiplatelet/anticoagulant use; priapism (prolonged penile erections); mania/hypomania activation in bipolar disorder; discontinuation syndrome upon abrupt cessation.

Trazodone hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.
