Other key warnings cover tardive dyskinesia, described as "potentially irreversible, involuntary, dyskinetic movements," and neuroleptic malignant syndrome, "a potentially fatal symptom complex."

Perphenazine is indicated for use in the treatment of schizophrenia and for the control of severe nausea and vomiting in adults.
