Anhidrosis and fatal hyperthermia are possible, especially in hot weather.

Indicated "for use as an adjunct in the therapy of all forms of parkinsonism" and "useful also in the control of extrapyramidal disorders" (except tardive dyskinesia) caused by neuroleptic drugs such as phenothiazines.
