Contraindicated with "known hypersensitivity reaction to nifedipine." Nifedipine extended-release tablets are indicated for: - Management of "vasospastic angina" confirmed by classic pattern of angina at rest, ergonovine-provoked spasm, or angiographically demonstrated coronary artery spasm - Management of "chronic stable angina" in patients inadequately controlled by or intolerant of beta-blockers/nitrates - Treatment of hypertension, alone or combined with other antihypertensive agents.
